Pathway running length of road between the two entry points to Primrose Way
Reported via mobile in the Tree/hedge restricting available highway category anonymously at 22:02, Wed 21 June 2023
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 462942.
Path is becoming dangerous to use due to overhanging bushes and trees. The pavements have not been cleared back to the edging and the path is quite narrow in places. This is our only path along the lane and is a route to school.

We’re going to sort out the issue as part of our next cycle of works. That means we will include this when we next cut the grass or treat the weeds in your area. We cut the grass three times a year in April/May, June/July and September/October. We treat any weeds twice a year between April and October.

The hedgerow and weeds have still not been cut back, and were certainly not done in June or July as per your last post. The path, which runs the length of Sydney Farm Lane, is used as a route to our local primary school and runs alongside an extremely busy access route to the A1. It is not safe. The hedge needs cutting back and lowering in height, the encroaching undergrowth needs cutting back to return the path to its original width.

This issue is also causing extensive dog fouling along the path as it is seen as neglected with no ownership from the council.

The same hedges are also obscuring sight of pedestrians waiting at the zebra crossing at one end of Sidney Farm Lane and the road signs at the other end of the road leading to the B1081. They are a danger to both car drivers and pedestrians. Please cut the hedges. This is not a grass or weed problem. It is a hedge problem.

Hedge overgrown -too high & too wide. Foliage invading path making it extremely narrow - this needs cutting back to the edging stone. This is our only pedestrian route along the lane, it is a route to and from schools. It is dangerous, dark and so narrow in places that two pedestrians cannot pass each other!
