Every time it rains, this drain becomes overwhelmed due to further drains up the road being blocked. This drain is not blocked but just can’t cope with the amount of water coming down the hill. This has been an ongoing issue for a few years. Once it has drained away, it leaves such a mess on the road, pavement and driveway

  • Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

  • Water is not even draining away now. Full of leaves! What is being done to fix this issue?

    What is being done to fix this? The drain outside our house is collapsed. There have been workers up the road doing work to a housing development to install a sewage connection this week and they have said the pipes are severely damaged and completely blocked. Parents and children going to school are having to walk on the road which gets very busy in the mornings and so it is very dangerous!
