Hello i have already sent in a report regarding the grass verges both original and new ones currently in the process of growing, report no-464634. As often is the case you forget to add something. The builders have put in flexible posts to protect the water meter covers. If you were to take a first look it could be mistaken as they will protect the verges but they dont, they only protect the water meter covers. We have put our own roadside high visibility bollard at the end of our driveway where the pull in meets the new grass verges, if we remove this then the vehicles will, go back to driving straight over it again and damaging as it was before there were ruts and deep puddles which, are also a problem. As i said l, did contact the builders about the, verges as l also need to use both a manual wheelchair and a mobility scooter. The gravel footpaths put in and again l was informed the council wanted it that way, the gravel footpath is not fit for purpose, both the manual wheelchair and mobility scooter along with pushchairs have to use the hard lane itself as they can't be pushed or indeed ride the gravel path. They the difficulty arises when a vehicle approachs either way as there isn't any where to move onto. Like l said in my original report we bought the house in good faith, at the time we built it we had thought proper paving would be put down as they did by the bungalow that is on the corner of station road and villa lane. We had hoped this was to be our final home but now due to verges and not fit for purpose gravel footpath it looks like we will have to look to move home. We are disappointed and dissatisfied with the accessibility and safety along this section of new houses. When we bought the house and even when we had moved in the footpath and verges weren't completed. On both occasions when it has been spoken to on one occasion and emailed on another the builders claim no responsibility and say it was what the council wanted. Where does that leave us?
