Outside 10 Orby Road

Reported via mobile in the Standing water covering more than half the road category anonymously at 19:18, Fri 14 July 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 465027.

The pipe work taking water away from Orby Road is damaged and therefore during rainfall the road floods. This has been reported on numerous occasions and the drain has been jetted. This doesn’t work as the problem lies between the road and a now filled in dyke where the water should flow to.

  • Why have we closed this report? We cleaned this areas drains in the last year and our last inspection showed that they are working well. It’s worth noting though that at times of extreme weather even well-maintained drains like these can be overwhelmed. We visited on 02/08/23 during and after heavy rainfall and the road was clear at the time. If the problem happens again but in less extreme conditions then please report this to us and we will investigate the issue again. Thank you for reporting this matter.
