Reported via desktop in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 18:54, Fri 28 July 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 466505.

Hello again. I am having to do a new report as the site is not allowing me to report again on the same problem. The picture you posted on the previous report, saying the problem was fixed, is not from our part of the road. We think this might be Langton or Sausthorpe, where many of the pot holes have been filled in really well. You can see from attached pics that the photo you uploaded is not from the same stretch of road. Aswardby/Harrington Road is still not fixed. The damage being done to tyres is immense, as I am sure you understand. It just feels, again, like a waste of time, effort and money to have not fixed the holes evenly or flatly. And to have left a number of bigger holes unfilled. Please see photos.

  • We're sending you this message to let you know that we've assessed the road condition and at this time it does not require urgent repair. However we have identified this location for a larger scale improvement scheme. At this stage we are unable to give specific dates for this or definitely commit to the scheme because we prioritise these schemes based on condition compared with the rest of the County network and the resources available to us each year. We will continue to monitor this location as part of our routine inspections of the highway in the meantime. The area has been marked out recently for a scheme. If the fault deteriorates significantly then please report this again to us and we will investigate further. Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: No further action

  • Thank you for this information. Good to know the whole road will get a make over. As I am sure you can imagine, this is not good for anyone's tyres or chassis.
