Junction onto High Dyke from Great Ponton

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 466682.

At this junction when looking to the right the hedge in the adjacent field is so large that it obscures vision and you just cannot see what is coming from this direction. The High Dyke is an extremely fast road and there is nowhere to go if you pull out thinking the road is clear. It is only a matter of time before an accident will happen.

  • Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

  • This has been inspected and found that drivers can see the road across the corner. Junction is useable with usual care .

  • Has the right area been looked at? I use this road every day and I have a small 4 by 4 and I cannot see the road to the right and it is obscured by a large natural hedge which has grown too high. The road has a natural curve here and the hedge obscures the road there is no corner at this point of the road. Please check again this junction remains very dangerous.
