Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

Why have we closed this report? We cleaned this areas drains in the last year and our last inspection showed that they are working well. It’s worth noting though that at times of extreme weather even well-maintained drains like these can be overwhelmed. If the problem happens again but in less extreme conditions then please report this to us and we will investigate the issue again. Thank you for reporting this matter.

The gullies were cleansed in June 2023 with no defects reported. If you could provide photos of the standing water after at least 2 hours after moderate rainfall this will be helpful for us to the assess the issue. Our resources do not always allow us to be able to attend specific sites during these weather conditions so any help you can provide will be useful. We will continue to monitor during our routine inspections and raise any works as necessary. Thank you for reporting this matter.
