Reported via desktop in the Trip hazard/uneven surface category anonymously at 10:12, Fri 18 August 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 468468.

No pathway or safe access to Bus Stop shelter on Louth Road. Only access is via walking in the main road.or dangerous grass verge within close proxmity of a ditch. This poses a serious hazzard to public accessing the Bus shelter particularly small children and elderly having to walk in the main road avoiding passing traffic and to falls into the ditch. One poor soul has already lost their life due to falling into the ditch.

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because this bus stop has been designed for people to use the footway opposite and use the correct crossing point to access the bus stop, there is no reason to walk in the carriageway. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • No bus stop access from newly built estate. Access is via a grass verge close by to a ditch or by walking in the main road.. This is a dangerous access for children and the elderly.which could result in harm and injury. This is being ignored by the Highways dept. and is totally unacceptable to put lives in danger.
