Blocked drain outside 27 Tawney Street

Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category by Ann Morgan at 15:01, Sat 26 August 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 469089.

Leaves. I was delighted one day last week to see the drain cleaning machine cleaning out a drain on the park side of Tawney Street. I expected the machine to clear the drain on my side, but it did not!! It was still full of leaves this morning, and now that it is raining, it is flooding outside my house. Leaves from the trees in the park affect drains on both sides of the street! Many people walk down this street to get into town. It is a dodging act again today to avoid being swamped when cars pass by. Water also damages my window.

  • The drain outside no27 Tawney street has lost all its surrounding tarmac. There is a very large pothole at least 150mm deep and 250mm wide. It is extremely dangerous and I suggest an urgent repair is required. Also all the drains on Tawney street require attention for the same reason, loss of surrounding material
