Anglian Water Road Closure

Reported via iOS in the Problem at other roadworks category anonymously at 15:55, Wed 6 September 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 470004.

The signs for the Anglian Water Road Closure have been knocked down, the signs between the Fulstow junction and the road closure have been down for over a week. Anglian Water turned up on Sunday to explode the leak, they didn’t put the signs back up and haven’t been back since. There is a constant line of traffic coming along the road and having to turn around at the Mulberry Close junction, including lorries, which has been a nightmare for villagers. There was a car earlier that forced his way between the barriers and the wall nearly hitting several families that had just left school, I understand this is an issue for the police and I will be reporting it to them too, although it may be worth making Anglian Water aware as several of their cones have been run down and fencing damaged. I understand the works are not LCC, however, please can you get them to check their signs!

  • I am disappointed that the officer that dealt with this issue has clearly not done anything about the signs being down and instead decided it is not an important issue and decided to just mark it as resolved. The signs are still down, in exactly the same place and nothing has changed, please take this issue seriously, I have been more than understanding and I don’t expect the signs to magically pop up either, however, I do expect you to contact Anglian Water and ensure the signs are all up before saying the enquire is resolved.
