• Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

• Why have we closed this report? We cleaned this areas drains in the last year and our last inspection showed that they are working well. It’s worth noting though that at times of extreme weather even well-maintained drains like these can be overwhelmed. If the problem happens again but in less extreme conditions then please report this to us and we will investigate the issue again.

  Site visit undertaken by HO within 2 hours of receiving this enquiry. No standing water present/evident at reported location. Latest cyclic cleanse undertaken June 2023 and no issues reported following this cleanse.

  As Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) we do not provide sandbags unless water has entered property or is imminent, we cannot provide them for non-emergency instances and residents should source their own from builders merchants if possible if they have future concerns.

  If this issue happens again, please take photographs if possible and send through to us for us for a HO to investigate further.
