Pe20 3al driveway on A52 just after exit to A17

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 471437.

I would be grateful if someone could explain why the A52 just before the swineshead roundabout floods just at our drive just after the exit point towards the A17. The camber of the road is such that any severe rainfall flows from the north side of the road into our driveway, which I understand is something the Council should mitigate against under your own building regulations. Obviously the current drains cannot cope with any significant downpour and the situation is exacerbated with the lowest point of the road being at our driveway ad not the drains on the roundabout. It also soes not help when the roadsides are not maintained and the drains are blocked with soil etc.

  • No progress and with heavy rain water is being pushed by traffic onto our property as a result of incorrect road design that cambers into our drive. Suggest someone takes a look at the A52 swineshead roundabout as the Council have not followed their own guidelines for road building and are in contravention of their regulations.
