The entry to Nos 1 & 2 St Marks Rd

Reported via mobile in the Flowing water, no risk to life or property category by Anthony de Carnys at 11:24, Thursday 21 September 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 471502.

In heavy rain, the road-water overflows into our driveway and causes our kitchen to flood. Our property - Wheatfields - is lower than the road and surrounded by other properties. Our soakaway can't cope with the road as well. It only happens in very heavy rain, which we have had twice so far this year. There is an upstand on the kerb but it is not enough in very heavy rain.

  • Why have we closed this report? It’s worth noting though that at times of extreme weather even well-maintained drains like these can be overwhelmed. If the problem happens again but in less extreme conditions then please report this to us and we will investigate the issue again. Thank you.
