14 Markham Close Tree blocking light
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 471596.
Tree is blocking light again. Now the nights are getting longer and it being the only light for the walkway it is a safety issue especially as there is dumped tree branches nearby which despite reporting has not been removed. Enforcement action may be required as tree is from a private property but light is maintained by local authority. Issue has been present for many years and gets worse and worse every year.

Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

In this instance we don’t intend on taking immediate action. Because our current resources are extremely limited we have to focus our enforcement on matters of a significant danger or nuisance to road users. We can, however, continue to monitor the site during our routine inspections and will review the situation. Thank you for reporting this matter.
