This is still a massive problem and it’s been reported numerous times, the temporary barriers are continually blowing over or being knocked over. It’s at the top of Lumley Road near Argos in Skegness.
Reported via iOS in the Other road surface issue category by Adrian Findley at 17:20, Monday 25 September 2023
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 471866.
After repeated attempts from myself and others to replace the temporary barriers with something more substantial, it’s quite clear that feeble attempts to keep putting these back in place is acceptable to you. But if a cyclist comes around the corner and hits these it could seriously injure them or even worse. As regards the footpath, this is equally a serious hazard and someone with poor or no vision could also have a serious accident. This has been left like this for well over a year and eventually it will cause a n accident if not done permanently.
Thanks for letting us know about a road surface issue. We will look into this and let you know what we find within the next 14 days. You can find out more about roads maintenance on our website
