Pathway between 32 and 34 Wigsley Road

The pathway between 32 and 34 Wigsley Road is covered with debris which comes from the woods when it rains and is, in my opinion, a trip/fall hazard because it is incredibly slippy. It is a well used route and has in the past been cleaned by the pathway cleaning vehicle. However, in recent months it seems to have stopped coming down this path although I have heard it going through the path between Abingdon Ave and Birchwood Ave so I am not sure why it no longer cleans this particular path (maybe because it is beyond the capability of the cleaning vehicle?) If it could have a proper clean and then be maintained by the pathway cleaner that would solve the problem. Many thanks

  • Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

  • In this instance we don’t intend on taking immediate action. Because our current resources are extremely limited we have to focus our enforcement on matters of a significant danger or nuisance to road users. We can, however, continue to monitor the site during our routine inspections and will review the situation. Thank you for reporting this matter.
