Queensway, Gainsborough

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 471927.

Recent road works on queens way (Resurfacing) Caller states the contractors have tarmacked over every single drain on Queensway. This is causing no rain water to drain and it's all standing/running down the road.

  • Thank you for contacting Lincolnshire County Council to raise the issue of drainage offlets being surfaced over during the resurfacing works on Queensway. A visual inspection was carried out on 4/10/23 to inspect the quality of works, as well as to identify any ironworks that would need lifting post works. Unfortunately, due to the process of laying the material this activity is done after the road is resurfaced as doing it before would affect the spread of the liquid material used on this road. The lifting of ironworks has been programmed with the contractor and should be taking place as soon as resources can be directed. Thank you for reporting this matter.
