AT the crossing opposite Winchelsea School
Reported via desktop in the Standing water covering more than half the road category anonymously at 09:13, Wed 27 September 2023
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 472031.
There is standing water at the crossing used by numerous school children every morning, its been occuring now for several years and never properly fixed. This are is so incredibly unsafe without the water, there is nothing to restrict the speed of cars entering a leaving the village, there is no marked or traffic lit crossing the children can used. Combine these factors with the water meaning children are having to either cross closer to the roadabout or the busier road further up as cars speed in it is so incredibly dangerous it is an accident waiting to happen. The road require a proper crossing for the school children to use and something ro prevent the cars from speeding along, the water is just an extra hazard. An accident will occur if nothing is done, hundreds of children cross this road every morning and afternoon.
