Robertson Road and Montrose Close

Reported via mobile in the Other road surface issue category anonymously at 10:37, Wednesday 27 September 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 472043.

The entire length of these two roads have recently been resurfaced leaving a surface that looks beautiful, with road markings etc, BUT the surface is perfectly smooth with no grip whatsoever, and with the slightest bit of ice will be lethal. On the basis that the residents of this area are mostly elderly (bungalows), there will be untold slips and falls as a result of this new surface. It needs addressing, please.

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because when new road surface is placed down resins will leach from any new surface for a short while. It has been assessed and the grip level (skid index) will be adequate. However, we will monitor the situation. Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: No further action
