Blocked drain between 72 London Road and 1Red Hall Drive

Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category by Chris Hood at 10:26, Fri 29 September 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 472253.

I’m not sure if this was dealt with the last time I reported it. However, the same drain is now overflowing and has no drainage. After recent rain, we now have standing water.

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because when an officer went to investigate the site and checked all drains in area. Upon this inspection it was observed that they were working correctly, so no action proposed at this time. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • As you can see from this latest photo, taken while raining, the situation is still as I reported earlier. The drain is blocked and the standing water is expanding. Therefore I’d ask that something is done about it, before it becomes a hazard.

  • The problem still exists.

  • If this becomes ice, a serious hazard is going to materialise. This drain has not allowed full flow for the last 4 years.

  • As you can see, the road and path are now dealing with standing water. The drain is not functioning. Number 1 Red Hall Drive is occupied by an elderly lady (95) and her gateway is surrounded by standing water every time it rains. People are having to paddle through water on the path.
