At the request shown below of Cllr. R.G.Davies, Executive Councillor for Highways, we are carrying out a survey of the drains within Leadenham. "Highways drainage records in North Kesteven Let us know if we have some drains in your parish that are not on our records Do you know of a highways drain that isn't working properly? Please use Fix My Street to report this problem". Following his instructions, please find What3Words location of eight drains on Sleaford Road, Leadenham that are buried or blocked. Unable to find some drains because of the amount of debris covering parts of the footpath and roadway in a dangerous location. Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

Please be aware that every drain on Sleaford Hill from the junction with Water Tower Lane to A607 is blocked. The top two were completly buried and had to be dug out to find them for the survey. Heavy rain is forecast as a result of Storm Babet. This puts the buildings at the bottom of the hill in danger of flooding, especially the Post Office which has suffered flooding before before.
