West Road, Pointon

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 474104.

Several drains along West Road from outside our property and towards High Street are blocked causing considerable standing water when it rains. This needs to be urgently addressed to eliminate any potential flooding to properties or harm to road users. It is also noted the water is overflowing out of the manhole cover outside No. 53.

    With the recent rain this has now got dangerous and is a risk for both pedestrians, homeowners and vehicles, even more so when it is dark and needs to be urgently resolved as this is completely unacceptable.

  • As considerable time has passed since reporting this issue and the drains still have not been checked or cleared on West Road, can you please advise when this will be done.

  • All the drains as previously reported remained blocked along West Rd Pointon and it has now been nearly 2 months since this was first reported and still nothing has been done about this? Resultantly this has become increasingly dangerous as the standing water now freezes causing significant and serious risks to pedestrians and vehicles. Can this please be addressed urgently.
