York road
Reported via desktop in the Standing water covering more than half the road category anonymously at 15:00, Tue 17 October 2023
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 474254.
This used to be a lovely road with green areas to soak up water. The builders on York road have completed destroyed it, the drains have been cleaned and it’s not solved the problem, if anything ,it’s worse. When the new houses are finished it will be horrendous, this road needs urgent attention it had been completely wrecked by huge vehicles that shouldn’t have come on this road. HTC are continually driving diggers on it to compound the problem. They have washed their hands of the problem they caused.

Today HTC have dragged mud everywhere , once the storm hits it will be a muddy swamp. Despite being asked to contain their mess they continue to make matters worse. Common sense would tell you HTC should take responsibility but that’s too fair so the public’s tax will have to pay through highways. This needs urgent attention.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because an officer has checked the area and spoken to builders regarding keeping the road clear. There were not any safety defects found for either carriageway, or standing water issues. Thank you for reporting this matter.

Yes there is a problem here ! You have visited on a dry and warm day. That’s ludicrous we have a resident here who is flooding up to their front door and into garage when it rains ! I cannot upload a video here so please advise where that needs to be sent to

As you can see , there is a problem so don’t come here on a dry warm day and think it’s just a chat to the builders and all will be okay.

With soil movement from the building site the road has become not passable for pedestrians. Sludge and mud everywhere.
