The problems along both sides of School Lane are getting worse. The road is being washed away, on one side by a natural spring, but on both sides by the outflow from a resident’s pond being pumped into the road. This problem has been reported to Highways several times by East Keal Parish Council, but nothing has been done. The potholes are now getting very deep, making it increasingly difficult and unsafe to walk or drive along the lane.

The update of 15th February is misleading as there is NO overflow from any pond, No water is being pumped anywhere. Unfortunately, it seems the person making this report deliberately lied to you. All the water comes from natural springs. Recent clearing of the drains should ease the problem of water on the road, but putting drains by the springs is the best solution.
