Overgrown vegetation obstructing pavement

Reported via desktop in the Tree/hedge restricting available highway category anonymously at 22:32, Fri 27 October 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 476526.

The pavement on Towngate East, Market Deeping, between Blenheim Way and the Headstart Day Nursery is restricted in width and headroom by overgrown vegetation.

This has been neglected for years now and needs significantly cutting back. All of the pavement should be available and pedestrians shouldn't have to be ducking under overhanging branches. These also obstruct the street lighting and the 40 mph signage.

Given this is the route to the nursery, it is frequently used by parents with young children, often with pushchairs. The state of this pavement is presenting a hazard to these vulnerable road users.

An attempt to raise this with the adjacent occupier, Wilcox Commercial Vehicles, hasn't been successful.
