Footpath along whole length of Long Lane - Fleet Parish

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 476830.

The state of this footpath has been reported before but no action appears to have been taken. Having now inspected the path myself - I consider this path NOT to be fit for purpose and in some areas is a serious Health and Safety Hazard. This is the only path along this road and therefore pedestrians have no other choice. Please contact me to arrange a visit with a Highways Representative ASAP so we can establish a sensible programme of works. It will; not be acceptable to just fill a few potholes.   • We're sending you this message to let you know that we've assessed the footway condition and at this time it does not require urgent repair. However we have identified this location for a larger scale improvement scheme. At this stage we are unable to give specific dates for this or definitely commit to the scheme because we prioritise these schemes based on condition compared with the rest of the County footway network and the resources available to us each year. We will continue to monitor this location as part of our routine inspections of the highway in the meantime. Thank you for reporting this matter.
