Reported via desktop in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 10:22, Sat 4 November 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 477561.

Multiple potholes now forcing drivers to use grass verge increasing the mud on road situation

Balfour Beattie repaired ONE pothole workers saying that’s all they were tasked to, additionally, they said potholes which had temporary repairs by the farmer would not be repaired! How do we ever get a fix to this issue, keen to discuss.

  • Mud now masking pot holes farmer not taking responsible clearance action of the highway

Understand it’s sugar beet season and the field he uses as a haulage yard is under water but responsibility lies squarely under various sections of the highway act for clearing the highway

Tractors and HGV are wrecking the road edges and destroying drainage - it’s going to be a long messy winter

  • Hole Hole Hole - just to sleigh the mischievous farmer elf’s are causing more festive messiness

The potholes are now conjoined, traffic is using the verge which is now getting destroyed and mud is spreading over the road, the drainage is none existent and potholes masked under water. Anything other than tractors and 4x4 run the risk of damage … please re survey

  • Holey night … well the big fella is going to struggle to get his sleigh down moor lane this year with the road narrower than 1m, no drainage and potholes joining up it’s not feeling very ding dong merrily with the verge sinking and the mud spreading. Even the farmer has stopped using the lane his elves are messing up someone else’s lane … any fairy dust to spread?

  • Great news the work is planned. The situation worsens by the day, a far portion of the damage is hidden by mud concerned the repair crew will not repair all the damage as they won’t have the equipment to clean the road prior to maintenance starting… hoping this is noted and won’t be the case as it has been previously… looking for to getting a road back thank you .

  • Happy Easter - road remains unswept from the weeks activity off the haulage area, potholes masked by mud

Assisted a cyclist with a lift home who unwittingly hit a pothole and buckled his wheel as well as bruised knee and pride !

  • Agreed the holes are filled but now akin to a car test track - Belgium cobbles or speed bumps

Some holes filled with water left without repair

Not expecting a billiard table but if this is an acceptable fix - not impressed

I would like to apply for the position of man sleeping in a van all day though - engine running and snoozed the day away at the crossing gates .. glad our money keeps folk in a job though! Have VRN if anyone would like to investigate that.
