Footpath on left hand side of Belton lane going towards Londonthorpe

Reported via desktop in the Problem at other roadworks category by Cllr Alan Bowling at 14:12, Mon 6 November 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 477811.

A company was doing installation work of fibre cables and dug up the footpath. You will see the tarmac bit has been made good, but the bit where it crosses the concreate pathway has just been infilled with gravel.

  • The rain and water splash from the road is now washing the gravel away and that has produced a trip hazard. this is the only path at this point of the road and is heavily used by people walking up to Belton Park, including many elderly people.

  • Why is no action being taken against the fibre installer?

  • Any progress please? The wet weather is further washing away the gravel and increasing the trip hazard.
