Drain outside 10 Watergate, Quadring
Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 09:22, Mon 20 November 2023
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 479512.
Even though all of the drains in Water Gate have been cleaned recently, the drain outside my property has been blocked for some time (more than 4 moths). On 12th November I removed the lid and cleaned out all of the leaf debris, ensuring it was completely free of obstructions. Despite my efforts the drain remains blocked, I can confirm that the drains either side (outside No 6 and 12 Water Gate) are clear and functioning. As we always have neighbour's vehicles parked on the other side of the road, all traffic passes on the flooded side. Depending on the depth of water and speed of the traffic we will often have water splashing up our front door which is 3m away.

Great to see that a road sweeper has been dispatched to clean the immediate area, certainly gives the impression that the problem is solved, very impressive. Shame that the street will flood the next time it rains as the drain remains blocked as nothing has been done to tackle the underlying problem.
