Directly outside No.9 Hawthorne Avenue Louth

Reported via mobile in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 20:21, Monday 20 November 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 479644.

This pothole was first reported under ref 468124 on 14.8.23. On the 16.8.2023 I received an email stating “ We have an update. Our highways team have issued this work out to one of their delivery gangs. We’ll let you know when the job is complete.

On 3.11.23 you repaired the wrong pothole in the street that had not been reported and changed my report to job fixed.

I reported it again on 6.11.23 under ref no. 477891. On the 9.11.23 I received an email informing that you had investigated and “ whilst it has deteriorated it does not yet require further action.”

Can you please sort this out and repair the pothole which you deemed as requiring repair in August. It has further deteriorated since August and you can clearly see water marks and debris on my window sill from the cars entering the pothole and flying debris on to the front of my house. The street is road, footpath then the front of my house. As previously stated - my window is an original sash window and one day very shortly a stone from the crumbling large pothole will be strike the glass and smash it. If this does happen I will be claiming for the damages. This is simply not good enough seen as you have already said back in August that it needs repairing. Please update me with a response asap.

  • Your update states you’ve investigated and work has now been planned, again. I have noticed that there is yet again no yellow spray marking the pothole for repair but there has been yellow spray marked on a pothole at the other end of the street. The other pothole is smaller, against a hedge so not causing damage to houses unlike the one outside my house and according to your data that one has not been reported. Please do not make the same mistake again and repair a different pothole to the one I’ve reported. It would be sensible to repair both potholes at the same time. Please reread the reports I have put in and ensure my my pothole is repaired this time.
