Between the bungalow and garage
Reported via desktop in the Other road surface issue category anonymously at 08:48, Tue 21 November 2023
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 479677.
There is a ramp which lowers the road surface to enable smooth access to the garage, this is not a smooth gradual ramp but a distinct step in the road surface. When heavy traffic - lorry bus tractor, go over it they can be seen to jump and the resulting vibrations can be felt in my property. This jump can also be felt in a car when driving, all this on a new road surface completed in the last few days, I think the ramp is more prominent on the garage and my property side of the road.

I am still waiting for an update. My property still shakes when heavy traffic goes by over the distinct ridge in the road. I am still waiting for work on the access ramp to my property. This report was put in to you over three weeks ago, on the same day I spoke to a manager from LCC and a representative from Tarmac who were inspecting the problems. Please give me an update,

It has now been over two months since my first recording of this fault. I do know you have been surveying the road, as you will have seen the standard of resurfacing is poor even from a layman's perspective. My property still shudders when heavy traffic goes over the ridge as I have recorded several times on this site. Please provide an update.

Now three months since this was reported and I spoke to a LCC manager and a representative from tarmac, still no update or feedback. This report is marked as " investigating" so please give me an update. For three months my property has been shaken when a heavy vehicle goes by, I am concerned re the damage this will do to the foundations and structure. I have contacted my councillor R K a few weeks ago with my concerns re the lack of progress and a complete lack of feedback from LCC, they assured me my concerns would be forwarded to LCC.

It in now one year and three months since I first reported this disastrous resurfacing, my property continues to shudder every time heavy traffic passes by. I have had numerous apologetic emails, several phone conversations with LCC staff, promises of an on site meeting, there has been no action and no remedial work. The problems have still not been rectified and contact has dried up. Matt Fairweather has been my main contact. So I ask yet again for an update, and a date when these problems will be rectified.
