Beech Avenue

Reported via mobile in the Trip hazard/uneven surface category anonymously at 21:14, Mon 27 November 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 480470.

The footpath and road has numerous dips/ uneven surfaces in it. I am concerned as there are a lot of frail elderly residents who live on this road. Should they fall or trip I feel there may have a fatality. Under ECHR article 2 am requesting highways to review and resurface the road a footpath before one of the elderly residents have a fall. Filling potholes each year is not sufficient. I believe urgent action should be taken. The state of the road and footpaths have been notified to LCC on numerous occasions. The work is not sufficient to prevent injury or a possible fatalities

  • I am staggered that I provided numerous pictures of the state of the road and footpaths in Beevh Ave. your contractor turned up fixed one small piece of path and left. As already highlighted the road has a lot of elderly persons and one person who is blind. The whole road and footpath needs resurfacing

  • Hi. Can you please provide me with an update on the request to fix the road and footpaths please. Residents have been asking me what LCC is going to do to make our road safe for residents

  • I have been in contact with LCC about the state of the road and foothpaths in Beech Avenue. An LCC manager wrote to me earlier this year. How arranged a site visit and had some of the potholes filled. I was Informed the request for resurfacing would be put on a schedule of works for this financial year. Have you got any update please as road and footpaths are still in very poor condition

  • I was informed over a year ago that Beech Avenue was in the schedule of works for resurfacing. I note that you have been out on two occasions to mark up the footpaths and the road. I spoke to my neighbour last week she is over 90 , she is scared to walk on the footpaths as she believes they are dangerous and she will fall over. She has resorted to walking on the road. The problem is the road is now getting as bad as the footpaths. I would urge you to start work on Beech Avenue before one of half the residents in the street who are extremely vulnerable fall and have a life changing injury or the fall results in a death.
