The A15 junction at Haconby/Stainfield

Reported via mobile in the Sign (unlit) category anonymously at 10:26, Thu 30 November 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 480827.

There needs to be a new sign warning of deer. There is a deer herd down the Stainfield road that regularly runs out onto the A15 towards Bourne. The speed limit is 60mph which is dangerous because of the deer and the double junction. I have seen the deer nearly every evening for the last 2 weeks so just an accident waiting to happen.

  • We’re sending you this message to let you know that we’ve assessed the road in relation to the deer and there are so many deer in the Lincolnshire countryside that Lincolnshire County Council policy is not to erect further signage. Deer are a normal feature and are to be expected on our roads. They are also unpredictable and we cannot sign all locations, as they do not remain on a single location permanently. Thank you for reporting this matter.
