From St Chads school to 38 Ryland road FLOODED

Reported via mobile in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 15:33, Mon 4 December 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 481359.

Drains inability to cope with surface water along this stretch of road. Flooded yet again reoccurring problem and cars continue to drive through causing tidal surge onto properties along here. No 36 has had sand washed out of their block paved drive and other private drives are flooded due to flood water. Anglian water examined the drain along this stretch of road within the past 3 weeks. They warned us that there were leaves blocking the drain and we would see flooding again if the blockage was not dealt with. Here we are again, flooded road and worried residents. Police have closed this stretch in the past due to flooding. Can we please see some action from our Local Authority to remove blockage and examine the drains? Please we are worried our properties will become flooded due to this if nothing is done.

    State changed to: Action scheduled

  • Yet again our road is flooded following recent period of rainfall. This has been the third time since our initial request. We do not see any constructive action you have taken to the road. No attempt to resolve things for residents along this stretch of Ryland road. Anglian water have told us drainage is inadequate along this stretch of road. You are able to see a visible stream which runs along the side of the road which eventually builds and creates the flooding. The recent resurfacing has not taken into account the issues with flooding in that the drains have been tarmaced over. Can we see something constructive and some form of informative response before it is too late.
