Drains on road by 2 and 4 Cochran Close Grantham
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 481375.
There are 2 drain covers on the right hand side of Cochran Close Grantham that have been blocked to my knowledge since 1987.The problem is that the drainage run between these drainage covers is blocked and no surface water runs away through the drains and flows onto Stephenson Avenue which is very dangerous when freezes. This has been reported before to no avail other then once water was just sucked out and in another someone in there infinite wisdom placed a grit box at the junction. A long term resident stated that when the houses where built cement lorries where cleaned out using these drains. As you can see from the photos when the weather freezes the junction with Stephenson Avenue becomes a skating ring and is an accident waiting to happen particularly as young children frequently use this area
