Reported via mobile in the Standing water covering more than half the road category by Paul Miles at 11:42, Tue 5 December 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 481497.

Since the resurfacing of the road we are experiencing excessive surface water with no drainage when we have had rain. The impact has caused the path to deteriorate also. This has been reported to the highways.

  • Thank you for reporting this matter to us. As discussed with our Highways Officers on site 26.02.2024 we have now assessed the road/footway and drainage in this area and at this time it does not require immediate urgent repair. However we have identified this location for a larger scale improvement scheme for the footway and some additional drainage installation . At this stage we are unable to give specific dates for this or definitely commit to the scheme because we prioritise these schemes based on others within the rest of the County and the resources available to us each year. We will continue to monitor this location as part of our routine inspections of the highway in the meantime however and arrange for any intervention level defects to be repaired as per our HIAMP until the above improvement scheme is undertaken. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • Once again, after a night of rain ,excess rainwater is standing on the road with no drainage. The pedestrian path is continuing to deteriorate( see photos ). This needs resolving sooner rather than later please.
