  • This drain is still totally blocked. The water standing on the crossing prevents you from getting on the pavement without standing in four inches of water. Please get it fixed.

  • Why have we closed this report? We cleaned this areas drains in the last year and our last inspection showed that they are working well. It’s worth noting though that at times of extreme weather even well-maintained drains like these can be overwhelmed. If the problem happens again but in less extreme conditions then please report this to us and we will investigate the issue again. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • This is absolute rubbish! The drain is full to the top with mud and weeds are growing out of it. Your pin drop is in the wrong location so I doubt this problem has even been looked at. I suggest you take a proper look at the correct drain, which is situated on the opposite carriageway to your pin drop and at the crossing adjacent to Wide Bargate. Multiple people have reported this problem and we are fed up with ruined shoes every time it rains!

  • To all concerned, I have personally had contact from an LCC Highways officer 10 minutes ago as i felt angry with this 'closed' comment and escalated it. She reported that work is scheduled for August. I expressed my concerns over the Fixmystreet 'standard' communication. LCC, please reopen this ticket so that it never gets lost like old tickets of the same issue have done in the past.
