Welbourne lane between the junction with Kennedy road and the A17 Holbeach .

Reported via desktop in the Damaged/missing boundary markers category anonymously at 14:44, Thu 7 December 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 481868.

Sir /Madam , Can it be established that the location given is a designated footpath and if so would it be possible to have two concrete bollards put in place in order to prevent vehicular traffic from being driven along this lane .At present each day litter is being disposed of in the lay by consisting of drinks cans and take away food , eventually this will attract rodents and may then pose a threat to houses within the locality .Each day i walk this route and each day i pick up between six and eight drinks cans also discarded take away food .This location if left unattended will become an eye sore. frequently on my walk i come across a vehicle parked with occupants at the location given , and perhaps this is where most of the litter comes from . I respect the countryside and do what i can to keep it rubbish free but i need help in order to achieve this . Thank you . Ernest Goldie

  • Thankyou for your enquiry. This is a designated carriageway which can be used by vehicles. We would not look to change this however we would ask that the customer refers any fly tipping/litter to South Holland District Council as this is their responsibility and not that of LCC Highways. No further action to be taken. Thank you for reporting this matter.
