The drains on this part of the road have been blocked for years and continue every year to be a serious hazard to cyclists and an inconvenience to pedestrians and drivers. For cyclists, they have to ride on the pavement or in the middle of the road. The north bound pavement is currently impassible for pedestrians, having to walk in the middle of a 3 lane road or get their feet wet. The flooding caused the drains by the bus stop to sink and any cyclist is now dicing with death should they not see the sunk drain (that’s been repaired multiple times) as the problem has not been fixed in years. This situation is beyond acceptable after such a lengthy period of time. When is this permanent fix to the blocked drains going to be actually fixed please! The road tonight was flooded approximately 75% across the road and the rain is nothing nearing torrential! This situation is a disgrace. Whilst this is already flagged on an existing report from 2022!!!!!, I have to create another one to get somebody’s attention.
