Both ways along A52
Reported via mobile in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 00:15, Fri 8 December 2023
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 481920.
The road starting at this point all the way to the Donington railway bridge is absolutely atrocious. Years of patching and rubbish fixes are taking their toll. I have a 4 wheel drive vehicle that makes this journey 4-6 times a day each way (school runs and work) and recently have had to replace suspension coils, ball joints and bushes along with smashed height sensors at the cost of over £4k and I am absolutely convinced it is due to the worst stretch of road in Lincolnshire. It is now time to resurface and not patch that whole stretch. I will be writing to our MP and will start to collate evidence and invoices of work done to my car until this is fixed. Enough is enough.

We're sending you this message to let you know that we've assessed the road condition and at this time it does not require urgent repair. However we have identified this location for a larger scale improvement scheme. At this stage we are unable to give specific dates for this or definitely commit to the scheme because we prioritise these schemes based on condition compared with the rest of the County road network and the resources available to us each year. We will continue to monitor this location as part of our routine inspections of the highway in the meantime. Thank you for reporting this matter.
