On Wignals Gate , Holbeach between No58 and Laurels Edge

Reported via mobile in the Uneven surface category anonymously at 17:23, Sun 10 December 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 482301.

New gas and electric was installed all the way across Wignals Gate and an issue raised with yourselves, Council ref: 469578. You accepted the claim and referred it to the contractors for resolution. The issue has now been marked complete and closed and no works have been completed. Why? You should not allow to complete poor reinstatement and thereafter fail to complete remedial works when requested as this causes you and ultimately the tax payer. Why do you close records when work has not been completed, you have obviously not inspected it? Please request the reinstatement be completed as a matter of urgency and at the contractors expense.

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because works are planned for 6th-8th March by Anglian Water. The delay is due to a road closure being required which takes 3 months to organise. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • I really struggle to understand why you have closed the problem, this is the second time this issue has been closed and the contractor shirked his responsibilities to reinstate the road to an acceptable standard, an issue you would have to ultimately respond to at tax payers expense when councils are short of funds.

Why would you close this issue, can I suggest you review it, and then plan in the repair just like you plan the Anglian Water works.
