Large hole over a meter deep nearly meter wide in the embankment of the road at the sluice gate, near the new holding pond for the new build. Recent works have been carried out for the opposite side. The holding pond doesn't seem to be holding the same level of water as when initially flooded, holding pond bank may be compromised.

  • Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

  • The hole has now fully collapsed into the running water

  • The construction site has now started to use high volume pumps to empty the pond for the third time in a month, they are emptying onto the top of the covered gully flooding the area and the hole has opened up beneath the floor level even further than this morning 12/12/23.
