Why have we closed this report? We cleaned this areas drains in the last year and our last inspection showed that they are working well. It’s worth noting though that at times of extreme weather even well-maintained drains like these can be overwhelmed. If the problem happens again but in less extreme conditions then please report this to us and we will investigate the issue again. Thank you for reporting this matter.

Why has case been closed... All that gets done is road swept and the drains on road are full of leaves.. Have bailed out water again and it's 100 metres down sea dyke way.. There is a problem with drains on road and water that is running into man hole that was outside but now inside as someone built a extension.. Have been here 5 years and drains have never ever been checked for blockages from fallen leaves.. This matter needs sorting out and Anglian water said it was high ways responsibility of keeping drains cleared.. I cannot physically keep bailing out gallons of water from my property as it obviously has no where to run too except into my property.. Its weekend tomorrow and have been waiting since Tuesday for this to be sorted out.. This needs a site visit as matter of urgency for somebody to claim responsibility for lack of road drains being maintained.. The amount of leaves & silt build up over 5 years is unexpectable and now causing my property to flood.. I'm 56 years old and cannot physically keep filling buckets full of water and was diagnosed yesterday with type 2 diabetes as making me ill as blood sugars falling from having to physically carry from man hole onto road.. I would like a site visit today regarding this matter as obviously water is not going to stop even after turning off mains water for my property and neighbours. Await a positive response today please. Yours Sincerely Amanda
