Reported via mobile in the Standing water covering more than half the road category anonymously at 10:21, Sun 31 December 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 485149.

Same as the last reports that never get any action! Water half way across the road ! On a blind bend there is going to be an accident one day !! Also yet again because the drain dose not work!!! All the water is backing up on my drive and has filled my sewage tank ! Please do something this is getting a joke ! Also in the lake that’s in the road is a pot hole which was missed when you fixed all the rest of them last time !

  • The County has received a large amount of rainfall in a short space of time and as such we are having to prioritise flooding sites which pose a risk to life or significant risk of internal flooding. It’s worth noting that at times of extreme weather even well-maintained drains can become overwhelmed and at the moment road gullies may not be able to drain away into watercourses which are full or backing up, including sewers. If the problem happens again but in less extreme conditions then please report this to us and we will investigate the issue again. Rest assured that we will be inspecting all drains and gullies in the coming weeks once the emergency response is over. Thankyou for reporting this matter.

  • The thing is I do report it even when we don’t have much rain and even then you don’t care next time I’ll just put cones in the road and shut the road all together!
