Junction Lincoln Rd & Ryland Rd Dunholme

Reported via desktop in the Flowing water, no risk to life or property category anonymously at 12:33, Monday 8 January 2024

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 487301.

There is a spring in the garden of 1 Ryland Rd that has been piped into the surface water drainage system . Periodically, the pipe blocks & the water overflows on to the carriageway. This is not a result of the recent heavy rain & will not go away once the land dries out a bit. With sub-zero temperatures predicted this will cause a severe hazard to motorists.

  • The water is now proving to cause issues with algae growing in the area and becoming very slippery. On a junction and a bend this is a very unsafe situation. The footpath is also becoming slippery and this is used daily by people of al ages attending primary an secondary schools, walking to the bus, going to the shop etc.
