Investigating
A16, opposite Thorndales Lane, Stickney, Boston
Reported via mobile in the Visibility at junction or bend category by Hayden Sykes at 17:33, Monday 8 January 2024
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 487395.
As part of the temporary worksite for the Tritton Knoll electricity cable installation project, a telegraph pole was erected either side of the A16 to support a telephone cable. These were not removed when the 2 sites were cleared. The poles are located on a sharp bend where there have been fatal accidents in the past and are in line with where vehicles leaving the carriageway would travel.
One telegraph pole was recently hit by a car and leant over quite a lot. It was subsequently cut down and removed (privately).
I am requesting that the remaining (unused) telegraph pole is a serious potential danger, and should therefore be removed.
Much appreciated!
