Scothern lane

Reported via mobile in the Loose/missing/chipped kerbstone category anonymously at 07:09, Thu 25 January 2024

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 490534.

Hello, when is the continuation of upgrading footpath along Scothern Lane Sudbrooke To be undertaken??

Last year upgrade works were taking place along Scothern lane, but stopped at St Edwards drive. We were told by one of your highway inspectors measuring the path, the final section of pavement upgrade works to the last section of Scothern lane going south to the a158 Sudbrooke junction on Wragby road would be completed this year 2024. Please could you let us know if this is still to happen as the footpath would be so much better if upgraded with new tarmac like all the other dwellings now have along Scothern lane. Regards Ryan &Jenny Watson , 14 Scothern Lane, Sudbrooke ,ln2 2qt. Tel. 07814 510393.

  • We’re sending you this message to let you know that we understand the residents frustration and appreciate you taking the time to raise your concerns. Lincolnshire County Council maintains over 5000km for footway network across the county, and whilst we have improved several footways in the village, there remains a significant backlog of highway maintenance schemes. Unfortunately, our available budget for footway improvements and works must be prioritised. We are aware of the condition of Scothern Lane, and improvement works are presently programmed within the 2028/29 maintenance programme. In the meantime if you notice any specific trip hazards or immediate safety concerns, please report them via fix my street at https://fixmystreet.lincolnshire.gov.uk/ This allows the team to assess and address any actionable defects as quickly as possible. Thank you for reporting this matter.
