  • The potholes have been filled after a fashion. The fillings are almost as lumpy as the holes were deep. T main problem has not been addressed, which was the complete top dressing on the road has just crumbled away and the road needs tarred and top dressed with gravel. We pay a fortune in Council Tax and get very little in return. The work done on Stones Close today is not fit for purpose and if I had been on the crew who did it I would be ashamed of myself, and the County Council should be ashamed to say problem fixed.

  • The supposed repair to Stones Close Hogsworth has lasted less than 6 months and is as bad now as it was last July. If the job had been done right in the first place and been properly skimmed the job would have lasted years not months. In general the whole village could do with resurfacing, but the Stone Close road surface is not just the occasional pothole its 100 yards of resurfacing that is needed. By professionals not odd job council workers.

  • If the County Council think Stones Close has been fixed they are sadly mistaken. Stones Close and the junction of Goodwin Drive still has no top surface, it’s still completely worn away and there are still plenty of potholes further on in Stones Close which will only get bigger if, as we all know the Council have never had thought nor care about our little corner of the County. Roll on the local elections, our County Council, or at least the department responsible for our roads is not fit for purpose. Spend a fortune on footpaths while our roads disintegrate.
