Outside number 21 church lane

Reported via mobile in the Flowing water, no risk to life or property category anonymously at 09:01, Tue 6 February 2024

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 492190.

Drain continuing to overflow. You state this is a minor inconvenience to my family but it’s not! It’s disgusting and after 8 years of this, the council needs to take ownership of the matter and have it fixed. Why should we have to put up with constant flowing water across our property?! Changing the drain grate cover is not going to fix the problem. It’s not blocked, the pipes below simply can not contain the water which is clearly leaking! It’s not rocket science. If you refuse once again to ignore this issue and hide behind a no reply email, I will escalate the matter further as enough is enough. Now we have the brown sludge and rotting leaves to deal with yet again. Are you coming to clean the road to rid this health hazard?

  • Would someone please contact me directly regarding this ongoing issue. I would like an explanation as to why the drain continues to leak all the time and why the council are refusing to remedy the matter.

  • Ok, so Anglian water seem incapable of fixing a water leak! They could at least attempt to fix it though rather than just coming out, taking a look and then flagging the support ticket as resolved. Very poor show... why do I pay water rates? Maybe LCC can do a better job, over to you!
