Investigating
The stupidest location for a street light ever
Reported via mobile in the Street light category by Jamie Tufnell at 13:59, Tue 6 February 2024
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 492261.
To whom it may concern
Today 5/02/2024 there has been a street light installed to the rear or my property on London Rd Sleaford.
It's absolutely horrendous! The LED bulbs them selves must cast in the region of 3 billion lumens, and have bathed my property and back garden in what can only be described as a 2nd sun.
Currently it's nearly 7pm in the evening February 5th, and I am considering getting my sun lounger out, applying some factor 50 and bathe infront of the supernova that I can only guess the council has erected to the rear of my property.
What can be done about this? As the only solution I can see is that it needs to be moved, how on earth someone has given permission to allow a street light there is crazy! Have they not heard of light pollution?
I eagerly await your response in the matter, attached is a photo of said light so you can see the rapture for yourselves. I hope we can come to some kind of solution to this, for I will be taking this further.
Regards
J Tufnell

Update: it was on all night. How anyone can think this is acceptable is beyond me. It needs moving and moving immediately.
